About

Hi My name is Marguerite and I would like to tell you a little something about myself. I love art. Whether I see it, create it, smell it or hear it. It speaks to me with and without words. It’s like magic.

Ever since I was able to hold a drawing instrument in my hand, or just using my hands, finger painting, I knew I had been given a special gift. Growing up as a child we had, what you might say a tight family budget. But we were rich with ideas, both large and small. My Father, was a character all by himself. He built wooden boats, that we would take down to the Hudson River and go fishing. He drew and built Experimental Aircraft. Helped re-build fuselages for the old planes at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome. And he took me under his wing and taught me how to draw, paint, construct, envision and imagine what we saw. My favorite class in school, naturally was art. I wanted to study to be an art therapist. Instead, I graduated as a mechanical designer/drafter. I learned many great things. Manufacturing processing, structure, discipline, innovation, and technology. and the list goes on forever. However I never gave up my artistic side. Between the two forces of creativity and engineering, I have built a solid foundation to grow and hone this gift I was given. My artwork has helped me out of some dark places and has enabled me to share the joy and beauty of this world as before, now; today and into the future. I am still amazed and grateful for this gift.
